Pastor Laurie Williams

A Tidewater native, Laurie Williams’ ministry experience started as early as the age of six. She sang with her sisters on Sunday mornings in her local church. From the age of six years old to her early twenties, most of her ministry experience was in music, theater, and worship. She was involved in many projects for CBN and other local clients including voicing animated features, studio vocals, television commercials- even auditioned for the Metropolitan Opera in 1991. She traveled the East Coast of the United States with her family, singing and ministering in churches and youth conventions from 1978-1988.

Laurie married her husband Jim in 1987 and now has three daughters, Maggie, Grace, and Tess. For many years, Laurie and Jim were involved in the worship ministry at Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Hampton and later became the interim Worship and Arts Director in 1992.

Easter 2004, Laurie and her husband planted Real World Worship Center in Newport News, Virginia. Laurie’s duties there include co-pastoring with her husband Jim, leading worship, heading the creative arts ministry, teaching, and preaching.

Outside of RWWC, Laurie is a Speaker and Worship Leader for Women’s Conferences and Leadership Conferences in the states and internationally. She also recently received her ministerial license with the Assemblies of God.

It is her hope that you will leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to run with the promises of God.
