Dr. Willie Vines

Dr. Willie Vines is the guest speaker for our 3rd Church Anniversary Service this Sunday.

Dr. Vines is a credential ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and has served in the positions of Senior Associate and Pastoral Care Pastor of a large multi-cultural congregation.

Prior to his ministry involvement in this capacity, he also served at another Assemblies church where he worked for approximately eleven years bi-vocationally. He served in this capacity as an Associate Pastor and as a governing elder for eleven years. This congregation was diverse in culture, race, gender and ethnicity, as well.

At the installation of Dr. Vines in a full-time paid staff position, there was only one other ethnic individual on staff with a total of seven pastors. Since this church was an established congregation, founded and established in the early 1950’s, it was interesting that an attempt at diversity was finally being made, given the history of past racial relations within this organization.

Dr. Willie Vines is a graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Management. His graduate level of education consists of a Masters of Practical Theology from Regent University and a Doctor of Ministry Degree with a concentration in Leadership and Renewal at the same university.

Dr. Vines experience includes:

• Served as an instructor for Bethel Temple Bible College
• Served as an adjunct professor for Regent University
• Represented Regent University in Kiev, Ukraine in the area of pastoral development
• Teaches at other venues in training leaders for ministry in the Church and the marketplace ministry.

Dr. Vines is a devoted husband and has been married to Decorious Vines for 41 years, who also serves faithfully with him in ministry. He is also the father of three wonderful daughters who have given him and his wife a total of eight grandchildren. This couple has served the Lord unrelentlessly for over 30 years. Their desire is to fulfill the call that God has placed on their lives in serving and helping others to reach their full potential.
