Your words become self-fulfilling. That's true whether you speak words of life or speak words of death. Tell a child she'll never amount to anything ... and guess what. She won't. Tell her she will succeed, and against all odds she will.
In "Madea's Family Reunion," Nicky, the little girl staying with Madea, was told by her last foster mother that the only thing she would be good for is to "lay on her back." What a tragedy. Words like these had marked her life for littleness instead of greatness. If it had not been for Madea telling her otherwise, she would have settled for less. Instead, now she wants to be a lawyer; and began achieving the grades to accomplish it.
Words are important. They shape your destiny.
God blessed Adam and Eve (spoke words of life over them), and then gave them the task of dominion and replenishing the earth.
Jesus cursed the fig tree ... and it withered away.
He spoke to a storm-tossed sea ... and it calmed down.
The Lord sent His Word ... and it healed them [Psalm 107:20].
Words are very important. And since they are important you must take heed to how you speak. God said that every idle word will be brought into account. So, speak life instead of death.
Speak life to your neighbor. Speak life over your body. Speak life into your finances. Speak life into your career. Speak life into your marriage. Speak life into your ministry.
"Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" [Mark 11:23 KJV]. He didn't say it would happen because you believe it. He said it would happen for whomever would "say."
May you see manifestation from the words you sow today.
